Default Clutch adjust & minor chatter 1st to 2nd

Howdy All,
My 2006 has had a "touchy" clutch ever since I bought it. It takes a push near the floor before you can change gears. I have to move the driver seat up to have more control of the clutch and shifting. This clutch feel is most annoying when going form 1st - 2nd. It's not uncommon for me to stall. I've had this car for more than a year, so you'd think I would be used to this clutch by now.

So I guess I'm asking if it's a big deal to adjust this clutch?

Also, I've noticed this week that there is very minor chatter going from 1st to 2nd. Doesn't happen all the time, mostly when the clutch is partially engaged. (like going up a drive way, etc)

Will an adjust help the "feel" allowing for engagement faster as the pedal is pushed? Is the chatter something to be concerned about?

Thanks in advance,

You cannot adjust the clutch, it's hydraulic.
What you are describing is normal.

Cool- thanks! I can live with knowing that it's acting as expected.

I know what you mean about the clutch, had mine for 4 years now and I am still not used to it.

Thanks in advance,
Engagement right off of the floor is not normal. You probably need the clutch master/slave bled.

No it doesn't engage off of the floor, I probably didn't describe what it feels like very well.

The clutch and shifting work very well if you have room to just engage and go. But, in situations where you have to control the engagement, it's more of a challenge.

Overall, it works fine, just that it takes more effort and thought to control the clutch than I'm used to.

Not me I can control my clutch so smoothly it's amazing, the Roush guys were dumbfounded. Getting it up on a trailer I can modulate it however I need to. Like getting going again AFTER stopping on the ramps. Smooth as silk.

I never have any "chatter", between gear issues, etc.

Glas sqidd said something. I read this thread and let it go, but came back for my pennies worth.

Two words...FR500CJ line.

My wife's GT/CS is like you guys are describing. It may be "normal" but NOT ACCEPTABLE to me, tbrock or sqidd. And is not right IMO. More stuff the OEMs give us to deal with and pass off as "normal".

As soon as she's done frying her stock clutch with her Magnacharger, sqidd's stock p/plate, an Exedy disc and FR500Cj line are going on.
