Default Modified tune to leave rear 02 sensors enabled

For ten bucks, Breenspeed is e-mailing me, on 16 Oct, a new tune so that I don't have to "return to stock" once a year for my Massachusetts state insp. I'll be smoking a victory cigar on the 16th !

I've always wondered how much this would affect performance. Did they say?

Rear O2 sensors only monitor catalyst efficiency. They do not control anything.

Can anyone tell me why most (if not all) of the tunes disable them? I believe I would pass emissions testing if they were turned on.

I don't really know why. If you have cats, they should remain on.
