Id run the stock clutch as long as it will hold up....drag racing it will kill the stock clutch. but as for street driving it will be good for a long while.

Yea, I am thinking about getting a new tensioner. I am also worried about the stock clutch. I might even change it before I add the supercharger. Brenspeed has told me that the stock clutch can hold up pretty good though and not to change it until needed. It might last a while even since I don't drive the car much. I just don't know yet. I am a stickler about doing things right, but I don't want to waste money either.
The Steeda H/D tensioner is a very nice piece. Haven't had an ounce of trouble with mine.
That is the one I am going to get. I may not really need it with the boost level that I will see but it sure won't hurt to have it. It doesn't cost that much either. It's a no-brainer imo.

dont know the price of the Steeda H/D tensioner but take a look at the Roush tensioner. its a good one and is priced good....$80 If I recall.

I did find that Edelbrock makes a reinforcement plate for the stock piece. I wonder if it is any good. It is less than $40.00 at Tillmans and is supplied with their E-Force kits.

+1 $40 is half of $80 but I spend the extra coins on the Roush or Steeda.
