Installing FRPP GT500 fuel pump. Can anyone tell me where (in detail) where this wire goes. It is the wire on the supplied harness coming from the trunk. Instructions are no help. See pic. Thanks
I don't see a fuse anywhere. The wire is covered with that protective mesh all the way back. Should I install a fuse in line? If so what amp should I use. I can run out to an Advance Auto nearby if I have to. I would like to start the car this evening if possible. THANKS AGAIN STL. Your a lifesaver!!

I'm at work but if I get a chance I'll run out to my car and verify my setup.
Thanks STL, I just hooked up the wire to the positive bolt and fired it up. The car started fine. I am not planning on driving it so it is not a big deal. I will solder in a fuse holder and add a fuse if necessary. I have got to neaten it up anyway once I know what to do.

Guess what! I found a fuse and fuse holder in the box when I started cleaning up. Go figure. I can now resolder that end back on the wire (I did leave enough to do that) and with a little heat shrink I'll be good as new. It is a 30 amp by the way. I just wish the instructions would have mentioned this. But my kit did not come with any. I coppied mine from the link that you sent me. I'll finish it up tomorrow. Thank so much STL.

That is a big 10-4. I can't blame anyone but myself for that one! I just soldered the fuse in. Here is a pic. still got to cover it and tie wrap it but all is good now. Car runs great and fuel gauge is working. Thanks a million!!
good job man! I did my install also...feels good when you can do it yourself

That's for sure. It took me most of the day. I had a heck of a time getting the new pump in the tank. It was a tight fit. But everything finally worked out.

Funny you say that. Mine dropped right in. Goes to show that these cars are all built a little differently.
