i was driving to sonic when i started smelling something burning it was coming from the engine i recently removed the mufflers could that be the problem man this sucks does anyone know whats going on

Exhaust smell wouldn't smell like something burning. Did you inspect everything under the hood closely?

it smelled like when i burned my screen radio but it was coming from the engine

Maybe you caught a plastic bag or something up on your exhaust.

no it was coming from the engine but that did happen before so i checked it that wasnt the problem

Manual or Automatic transmission?

What mods have you had done? Any Extra wiring in the engine bay you did yourself?

Sounds like it may be electrical then. I would locate the fuse box under the hood, pop the top and give a good smell. If nothing there smells burnt, turn your attention to the ecu. Past that I would check your blower motor, that is if you had your heat or a/c on when this smell occurred.

the car is stock the only thing i have done to it is take off the mufflers oh and its manual, i havnt touched the engine and it wasnt coming from my fuse box

I have an old ’91 Taurus that’s electric fan motor burned out during a smog test (smoke going up in the guy’s face). Something like that might produce a burned electrical odor in the engine compartment. Don't know how well the pony fans hold up.
