Default Car won't start

So...I bought this car from a friend and found a switch right underneath the steering wheel. It looked aftermarket and I thought it might be for the wideband Air/fuel guage. So, stupid me, I tried to find what it was for. I traced the wire to a box in the same general area that said vehicle security system. I fiddled around the wires with a multimeter and nothing. Long story short I put the key in the ignition and nothing, not even a beep or ring. Batteries not dead and right now I'm trying to find a diagram to see witch fuse the ignition belongs to.

Other than that does anyone have any ideas what would be wrong? Any help would be really appreciated!!!

Well its a manual but I'm not that much of an idiot lol. But what you don't understang is that when I put the key in the ignition absolutly nothing happens. You know when you put the key in and turn it the radio comes on and everything, yea...nothing happens. I'm not talking about trying to crank it....it doesn't even get power to crank it over.

So, you got the car from a friend? I'd call 'em up and ask 'em what the hell that aftermarket switch was for ,and why the hell he didnt tell you that when you got it. then at least you'll know what its there for , and more about what you might need to do to fix your problem.

I'd ask him but he's in Iraq and it'll be about another month before I can get to him. We're stationed at the same post. I had a S197 before and this one I got from him is pretty sweet. He has so much aftermarket stuff on it it's crazy. (JDM 302 motor and saleen supercharger to name a few). He gave me a parts list but I guess that switch was overlooked.

Anyway, I'm guessing that that switch was some sort of reset for the alarm. When I put the fuse in and pushed the button the alrm stopped freaking out.

Geez at this point it could be anything, my 1994 GT had a manual override button for the security under the dash from the dealer, but it was to override the system if the key had an issue...by the way buddy, you've told us nothing about the car/year/etc...
