Default SCT Tuner question about a custom tune.

i got a custom tune from american muscle for my 08 GT can i still go in and change the tune a little like to turn off the TCS or minor things like that, and also what other small things can you change or can you turn on and off with the tuner, is the SF3 flash device by the way.

Don't think you can change the TCS, but can change rev limiter, idle speed, cooling fan operation, timing, increase/decrease AF, etc.

There should be a button on your dashboard that says "TCS Off." That button turns off your TCS

most mail order tunes come with the tune locked, so changing simple parameters or functions may not be allowed unless you tell the tuner to unlock the tune when you order it so later on you can change tire/wheel size, rear gear, etc.

It depends if they enabled the user options in the tune. If you are using the preloaded tunes, then you should be able to change things like timing, AFR, idle speed, rev limiter, etc.

TCS is not a user selectable option.

Right, but you can turn it off for good in the tune. Each time you start the car it will be on, so you need to turn it off on every drive.

Correct... But it's not something the end-user can choose to turn on/off in the tune. Has to be done with via the advantage III software.

I was able to adjust my gear without help from the tuner?

I just checked the SCT site. It does look like traction control is adjustable on the X3. Not sure why it wouldn't be on yours.
