Default Questions about the M90 Rouscharger

Ok, first of all dont flame me about useing the search, i would but im over in Iraq right now and the internet speed here sucks and would take me forever to find what im looking for.

I have a 2006 Mustang GT. Now, ive been doing some reading on both the Rousch and the Whipple and i think the Rousch will fit my needs more then the whipple would (and yes i know the whipple will give more power) But i havent seen anywhere that tells me awnsers to theese questions:

1) Will my current BBK CAI work with the Rousch?
2) what does sending the PCM to Rousch entail? what is the purpose?
3) will my SCT X3 work with this kit?
4) and is it needed/worth getting a dyno tune?

If anyone could help me with theese questions i would appreciate it.

1.) No, your BBK Cai will not work with the Roush supercharger. The way the inlet is designed it just wont fit.

2.) You have to fill out a form and take your PCM out and send it to Roush to have them completely reflash it. They load their supercharger tune on it so that they know all of the parameters are set correctly and for warranty reasons (there is a ton of room left in their tune and i would recommend the SCT)

3.) Yes, an SCT X3 will work with this kit and i highly recommend using it. We have custom tunes made for the m90 supercharger and can email you out tunes for your X3. The cost on this is $185.

4.) I wouldnt really worry about getting a custom dyno tune. The amount of volume that we do on these Roush m90 tunes is substantial enough.

Please give me a call or shoot me an email, as I have other options i would like to propose to you that might suite you better.

Thanks for serving us!

1. No the CAI will not work
2. They will reflash the PCM with new timing and fuel tables. I dont know how long it takes or the specifics
3.Yesh a SCT 3 will work but you will need a tuner to write a tune for it.
4. A dyno tune is not absolutely needed since Roush will reflash your PCM but is the best possible way for you to tune the car.
Dont mean to stray but there are better kits out there. And no Im not trying to pump up my Saleen. I just like the Whipple kit alot better.
Thanks again and make sure you come home to enjoy your blown ride.

1. BBK wont work with either they come with a specific intake.
2. They are recalibrating the tune for you.
3. SCT X3 works with the kit if you have the prooper tune on the tuner if not when you get a dyno done later they can put it your tuner so you dont have to send off your PCM.
4. Dyno tunes always show better number over canned tunes from the S/C company but with stock HP rating is not always necessary.

Hope this helps.

The only CAI or replacement I know of for the Roushcharger is the Anderson Ford Powerpipe. Its a bit pricey and overkill for your needs but looks badass and comes with a MAF sensor that supports insane amounts of power. But is not really needed. It will need a dyno tune. Im sure others will chime in with any other CAI kits.

People have good luck with the Steeda CAI / Roushcharger. You have to stretch the rubber boot a little to get it on the Steeda tube but they work well together. The Roush CAI comes with a FedEx box to overnight your PCM to Roush for a reflash.
