I am thinking about supercharging my 08 bullit and after some research i have understand some facts :
The most popular is : Kenne bell.
The most recent is the Edelbrock E-force with great result at low boost pressure.
BUT.... In my situation, there is one restriction : The typical BULLIT strut bar of this special serie wo is located the number of the car.
I don't want to remove it to stay as close as possible of the stock appearance.
It looks like the best choice in this way is the Magnuson Magnacharger wich fit perfectly under the strut bar and save the stock cold air intake of the bullit series too. (I know...it's a Roots, not a twin srew)
So my question is : Does anyone have a supercharged 08 Bullit ? (Or a GT with strut bar) Did you know a reliable and efficient supercharger wich is small enough to install as i wish ?

Ever consider a turbo? Who cares if the strut bar is removed, it doesn't make the car any less a Bullitt than my Cobra is any less a Cobra without it's strut bar which was tossed when I put my Kenne Bell on.

You're right ! Seems like it is the best way to look at it for the Bullit edition.
Here is some pics of a kit who fit exactly as i wish. Looks great ! I think it is a magnacharger. The magnacharger is not very popular (poor reliability ?) and seems to have more parts who can break.
Maybe could the Kenne Bell install under the bar too.
I am not very interested with the centrifugal type supercharger because it needs high RPM to give a good boost vs the twin screw/roots which is very efficient at low RPM.

Nothing wrong with Magnacharger; I have one on my Tacoma S-Runner (TRD, made by Magnacharger). The only thing that's stopping me from getting one for my Bullitt, is that they're not 50 state legal. They do work well, and are very reliable. I understand that the Kenne Bell does not fit under the Bullitt strut brace., but the Edelbrock may. It is 50 state legal and a more modern design than the Magnacharger.

For the money ($5600/Magnacharger) most people would just get a Kenne Bell, it may be possible to modify the brace to fit with the KB, it's just a matter of how much clearance there is...on my car it practically hits the hood.

That's the retail price from MagnaCharger. They're lots less from some other sources. I'm thinking of grabbing one for my Bullitt right now, so I won't mention who's got the MagnaCharger really cheap, just yet. I'm planning on moving to a state that doesn't require smog checks, so the lack of E.O. - CARB approval shouldn't be a problem for me.

The V3 Vortech kit if very popular for the Bullitts on IMBOC. We typically see 400 rwhp but often crank out as much as 430 rwhp with our Brenspeed kit and it retails for $3899. You can always upgrade to the high output kit.
The Techco is a very low profile supercharger and a good one, the disadvantages of it is I think the company is out of business. You may be able to pick one up rather cheap. Also you will be able to keep your cold air intake as its intake is in the front like the Edelbrock. I would call Tillman see if they are carrying any of the Techco, they use to, and if not they may be able to hook you up with someone who has one.
