When I lowered my Convertible GT with Steeda parts I have this popping noise I cannot track down. The noise seems to be coming form the rear axle. When I put the car in reverse it pops and when I turn left or right into a turn it makes a popping noise. Any suggestions on what this noise could be?
The sound is more like the sound a strut makes when it pops. The shocks I put on were from Steeda too. Also put on a new sway bar, control arms and upper third link at that time.

Are any of the bushings in those components Urethane? If so did you lubricate them with grease when you installed them? If not, you might be able to spray some lithium grease in there to quiet it down if that is your issue.

I have a similar sound ... that I hear when shifting. Sounds like a clunk. I am convinced it is coming from my UCA. Unfortunately I think it's coming from the bolt between the mount and the UCA. Its a total P.I.T.A. to get to. One of these days I will drop the gas tank, remove the bolt and re-grease that bushing.
The dealer that installed this for me said they "over-greased" everything. However, they did put my sway bar on upside down. So I'm not sure I should really trust them. I've also wondered if the Steeda rear shocks I got are not really that good. Seems to be a lot rougher ride than what they claimed.

If the springs were installed incorrectly they could certainly cause that noise.
Sounds like some of the mounting hardware was not torqued correctly. Or maybe some of the “one time use only” fasteners stretched and won’t do the job again. And if they put the sway bar upside down it’s probably a safe bet they screwed something else up. You need to replace every bolt that was re-used, torque them correctly and make sure they have all the shock mount bushings facing the right direction etc.

Itchy I used the Steeda Pro Action Shocks & Struts. I don't doubt they screwed something up. The other thing I did put on was an adjustable panhard bar. But I don't think that would do anything.
