Alright let's say I bought an 05-06 GT and wanted to mod it. What are some good things to put on that are relatively inexpensive? I was thinking of a Kenne Bell blower with 5 psi boost, but I see a lot of talk about gears and rear ends and stuff, what's the significance of those other parts? How much do they help on top of the blower?
If you are definately planning a KB blower, I would consider longtubes, an aluminum driveshaft, upper and lower control arms, and maybe a 3:73 gear. If you already have a 3:55, you might want to see how you like that with the blower before going to a lower gear. If you are not going with the blower, start out with a quality Cold Air Intake like the C&L or Steeda, and get a tuner and a performance tune, before going to the other things. JMO
05s had 355 gears standard. Im not sure if their was an option for other ratios.

I'm not sure exactly how the gears thing is but I've heard that most gt manuals had 3.55s and autos had 3.31s. Mine came with 3.55s and it was not an extra option or anything

Well, chrome trim is better than adding drag to your car with hood scoops, side scoops or body kits
standard rule of thumb is 3.73's are the gear to go with for a blower. Kenne Bell is an excellent blower and with lots of room to grow. And as for supporting mods you will want the following:
Better fuel system (more than likely included in kit)
Wider stickier tires/rims for better traction
Suspension mods such as lower control arms, upper control arms ect
gauges are a good idea to monitor the vital signs of your car
An intaje will be provided with the kit
and some exhaust to allow the engine to breath a little better. Headers, mid pipe, and axlebacks. axlebacks almost everyone does regardless of their other mods since it makes the mustang sound so nice, but with a mid pipe and headers matching you can get some nice gains and sick sounds too. LT headers give a nice ~12-15 RWHP gain but shorty headers give about ~3-5 if that, since the stock manifolds flow very freely.

You ask for mods that are pretty inexpensive and start out with a Kenne Belle supercharger. I guess your ideas of pretty inexpensive mods and my ideas of pretty inexpensive are two different things. I think of lower control arms, gearing, cold air intake with a tune, headers, under drive pulleys. My more expensive mods would be superchargers, turbochargers, cams, forged internals.
