Simple solution, just weld in new bungs. An exhaust shop might charge $10 ea, especially if they are off the car.

That would be a simpler solution.

I have JBA headers. I ordered my extensions from Summit.
Here is the part number.

JBA Headers 6680W - JBA Headers Oxygen Sensor Extension Harness Sets - Overview - SummitRacing.com

You will need 2 of them.

As for the tune contact Justin Starkey at VMP Tuning Inc . He wrote my tunes. I passed emissions with his tune. No CEL.

Does anyone know of any place that I can get my hands on some 02 sensor extenders, OTHER than American Muscle or Brenspeed? The AM ones are too short (by 18 inches!) to be for the rear sensors, even though the guy on the phone said they were for the rears. The shop my car is in said they could use the extenders for the fronts, but the plugs don't fit, at least the plastic casing around the plug doesn't fit.

I have some extenders coming from Brenspeed tomorrow, but they said theirs were for the front, so I'm hoping that they are actually for the rear sensors.

So um... has anyone ELSE had this problem? I know there are lots of folks who have gotten the JBA long tubes. So what did you guys do? My car is sitting in the shop since Monday morning, and it doesn't look like I'll get it back until... who knows! It's frustrating. THe last few weeks in Wisconsin that I can drive my car, and it's sitting on it's thumbs. Why doesn't anyone tell you of this quite obnoxious problem? American Muscle certainly says nothing about getting the 02 sensors for the JBA long tubes on their site, and the ones they do have are only long enough for the front. ARG!

I figured that these could be tuned fine. Hell, i've probably tuned them without even knowing. I never ask for the brand of LTs, just LTs or not.

Ok, car is FINALLY back at home. And after all the debacle of trying to fix things and get a proper tune to avoid the check engine light... I didn't get one! Thank God!
So, would a tune even do much? I've heard that the exhaust really doesn't need much tuning. What do you guys have to say?

The exhaust does sound sweet though, more like the old school cars. My Flowmaster mufflers have like 17,000+ miles on them though, and I may replace them sometime soon and see what a difference that makes. Was considering Borlas.

If you don't see a P0171/P0174 (System too lean bank 1/bank 2) I wouldn't worry about it.
