Default HELP. 02 sensor extenders and tune program!

Ok, more on the JBA long tube headers debacle.
Does anyone know of any place that I can get my hands on some 02 sensor extenders, OTHER than American Muscle or Brenspeed? The AM ones are too short (by 18 inches!) to be for the rear sensors, even though the guy on the phone said they were for the rears. The shop my car is in said they could use the extenders for the fronts, but the plugs don't fit, at least the plastic casing around the plug doesn't fit.

I have some extenders coming from Brenspeed tomorrow, but they said theirs were for the front, so I'm hoping that they are actually for the rear sensors.

So um... has anyone ELSE had this problem? I know there are lots of folks who have gotten the JBA long tubes. So what did you guys do? My car is sitting in the shop since Monday morning, and it doesn't look like I'll get it back until... who knows! It's frustrating. THe last few weeks in Wisconsin that I can drive my car, and it's sitting on it's thumbs. Why doesn't anyone tell you of this quite obnoxious problem? American Muscle certainly says nothing about getting the 02 sensors for the JBA long tubes on their site, and the ones they do have are only long enough for the front. ARG!

If they're lomg enough it doesn't matter if they were made for the front or back.

So where did you get the extenders from? And where can I get a tuning program for my SCT to put on my computer?

I have harness extensions from SLP. Brenspeed should update your tune from free if you bought the headers from them.

Sadly, Brenspeed says they can't tune for JBA headers

Hmmm... You might have to go with a dyno tune.

Arg. First I need to get some proper length sensor extenders just to get the shop to finish it so it can run. And the I'd have to find some place around here to do a dyno tune...

If you can get the front O2s plugged in you'll be fine. The rears won't hurt anything if disconnected.

Thanks for your help so far.
Still looking for a tuning program to tell the rears to be shut off, cuz I don't want the check engine light going on, but is that something I can do later after I've gotten the vehicle back home? I hate borrowing someone elses car when mine is in the shop

Sure... Running with the CEL for the rear O2s won't cause any drivability issues.

If I recall, it has something to do with the placement of the front O2s causing an O2 sensor not ready condition.

I just increase the time before closed loop operation. (and a couple other things). Why would this be specific to just the jba headers and not all LTs? does JBA place them back farther?

That could be. The 02 sensor extenders I've found have been quite a bit too short.

JBA pt the O2 bungs further back. Brent can tune out the DTC for Kooks because they have a closer O2 sensor location.
