I keep getting a tire pressure low indication (Pressure is OK on all 4 tires). I am scheduled to go into the local Ford guys for repair. Does anyone know if they will "play" w/ the computer? Should I remove my dyno tune and return it to stock 'til it's fixed?
The tpms is the most agravating thing ever put in a vehicle. I disabled it in my mustang. Don't have to worry about it anymore. I also had problems with the system in my Toyota Tundra and had to disable it. Now I am having trouble with it in my Chevrolet van. I had it at the dealership today for service and told them about it. If there is a difference of 1 lb in the tire pressure, the d--n light comes on. They got the light and info warning off today but I will disable it if it comes back. This has got to be the most annoying thing ever put in vehicles. Good Luck on the dealer getting rid of the light for good. Its probably going to keep coming back on down the road even if they fix it for now.
Yeah it can be annoying, my Infiniti has it, but I consider it an important safety system on that car, just have the dealer reset the system and make sure the tires are properly inflated. When the car is in cold weather it can take awhile for the computer to see the proper pressure.

If you know how to disable this tire pressure sensor system. PLEASE tell me/us. I've made it this far in my life w/o one,...I'm sure I can continue. I will give the Ford people one try to fix this, then if/when it re-occurs I'll just disable it once I've learned how to do it!

PS Anyone still know if I have to remove my custom dyno tune for this procedure?
I removed the dash cluster and carefully disassembled it enough to get to the small LED light that lights up the warning on the dash. I then took a pair of needle nose pliars and crushed it. No more light. I then threw the sensors from each wheel in the garbage. problem solved!
The only time I have a problem is when the weather get colder.
I just add air and problem solved. My Expediition does the same
and the full size spare will drive you crazy unless you keep the pressure maxxed out.
