No re tune required but you may get a check engine light for your rear o 2 s down the road..i got my code two months after installing my catted x...then just had bama resend me another tune with the rears off (no charge)
No, the fact is that anything that changes air fuel ratios or general engine parameters, such as an exhaust with less backpressure, can benefit from a retune. It may not be needed if by that you mean it will run without it. But there is always a little power to be found with an optimum tune. Sorry.
No you don't need it, so don't waste your money the gain would only amount to 1 or 2 HP tops, Mike. SCT Tuner. P.S. The gain isn't worth the money you would spend for a retune, Mike.

Hey you should call a tuner when you get a chance like Doug at Bamas or Chris at Tillmans and they will both tell you there is no tuning to be done for an x pipe or any other midpipe...sorry

I'll tell you what. After you learn the difference between "your" and "you're", read my post and tell me where I said you must get retuned. I said you'll BENEFIT from a retune. I understand the car will run just fine being slightly leaner. But since you have to get a tune anyway to shut off the rear o2s, why not get a little fuel added? And for a catted midpipe this will not be as important as an offroad midpipe, in which case Doug DID send me a new tune for mine when I switched from highflow cats. Sorry.
