This morning I had a problem with my battery. I guess it came loose at night or something because this morning i got no power. I opened up the hood and reset the battery cables - all ok right? So, now my drivers side window does not do the auto adust when i open and close the door. I got a convertible and when u open the door, the window goes down a little bit. when u close the door, it is suppose to go up a little bit. This stopped today. Does anyone know how to fix this. Your help would be apreciated.

Same thing happened to me, and it was a very easy fix. Just roll both windows up all the way and hold the switch in the up position for at least two seconds, then roll them down, and hold the switch down for two seconds after they are completely down. Your windows should be reset after that. Good luck!

thanks jsteele. however, When I try to hold up the switch for two seconds, the window automatically goes down to the prescribed position. So I can't even reset it. I looked in the manual to try to reset the "bounceback" and i can not do it. When there is an obstacle the window goes back down. but there is no obstacle, yet it goes down anyways.

Maybe i should try to reset the "bounceback" before I should reset the "short drop glass". please help. manual is not useful for this problem. i tried what the manual suggested and its not working.

DE-INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE
De-initialization (un-learning) of the smart window motor clears the memory of the module and shuts off the One-Touch UP, Bounce Back and Short Drop functions.
The smart window motors can be de-initialized in two (2) different ways:
Disconnect the battery cable from the battery WHILE THE WINDOW IS MOVING.
Remove the window motor fuse from the Power Distribution Box WHILE THE WINDOW IS MOVING.
After performing one of the above procedures, the smart motor must be re-initialized, see Initialization Procedure.

INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE
INITIALIZATION MUST BE PERFORMED WITH THE DOOR CLOSED! (For convertibles, top and the quarter glass must be in the up / closed position.)
From the window switch, perform the following steps without stopping:
Operate the window UP and stall for 2 seconds. (Hold The Switch)
Operate the window DOWN and stall for 2 seconds. (Hold The Switch)
The smart window motor will be initialized and one-touch-UP and Short Drop will be operational.
Cycle the window glass an additional five (5) times to set the window
"Soft Stop" for the down position.

thanks STL. It worked. I de-initialized by rolling the window down and disconnecting the ground on my battery. It was easy after that. I initialized by doing the two second deal. all working ok now. Its easy when you know what to do.
