Anyone know who makes the hood that it available on the Shelby GT/SR? AM has a similar one available through Cervinis but it is different. Shelby Performance parts has one that is non-functional. This one is functional. Thanks

Reason: error
Link says vent is non functional on this hood too.
That's correct so better carry a towel around with you in case it rains to get the water out. Couple of other things as well...probably better forget a strut tower brace. Also, it comes unpainted so you still have to get it painted and striped. The CS6 hood definitely looks sweet though.

They make it sound like it needs a lot of prep work in addition to just painting.
Thanks but that is not it. The hood on the SR is a functional hood. I called the Shelby Performance part crew and they do not know about it. I called the mod shop to see where they got it and if it will be available seperately but they did not respond back yet.

I am surprised that Shelby's people didn't know about it. I think it is the same hood as on their new, just released Turbo Mustang. There are some good pictures of it on that link. Not bad, except for the HUGE stickers.

The Mod shop does all the conversions etc, while the Performance parts group is completely seperate. I put in an email to one of the guys in the mod shop to see if he could help.
The turbo, sr and GTSR all use the same hood, different graphics.

I don't know if they use the same hood or not, but the shots of the Turbo hood show it as functional. I think they may have denied the hood since the new Turbo was yet to be revealed. Now that it is revealed, they can talk about it. Kind of like the Cobra Jet package.
