Is anyone having a fuel problem? The fuel data error light comes on and then resets itself, and the fuel hand drops to empty even when it is full of gas. The tech. guy at Ford said they would have to replace the fuel pump because of a faulty "sender". Thanks for a response.
Yes i just had the same problem today...i'll be taking the car to a ford service department tommorrow morning. Anybody else have this problem or know a solution?

Hi All, New to this page, and to Mustangs. I have an'05 GT auto transmission. Had it since Memorial Day. Just started having a clicking noise coming from under the hood. It happens every 10-11 seconds. It happens at idle or going down the road. It happens if the car is in gear, park or neutral. Any ideas? I haven't been to the dealer yet. Just noticed it for the first time yesterday.
I also seem to be having a rattle when going over bumps. It sound like it could be coming from the dash, but really can't tell. The car only has 5000 miles, so I would hope it isn't falling apart yet.

The click under the hood is the AC compressor cycling.

I just got my 05 GT back from the dealer they had it for 2wks, never called me to inform me of anything,I had to call them to be updated, they only called to say pic it up, when I dropped it off I gave them a list and the tsb's,
1. rattle behind instrument cluster
2. fuel fill problem
3. Air bag light on and flashing
4. accell pedal squeking
5. whine in rear end on decel
6. front end popping noise
7. radio skipping and not reading cd's intermintantly
8. defroster blowing when on heat.
they repaired, #2,#4, #5, #6
they couldnt duplicte the rattle, they said the airbag light wouldnt come on even though it was on when I pulled it into the garage, they did say it stored a code, of course the radio didnt screw up, they said the heater was normal.
I wont go back to this dealer, when I droped the car off, I had washed and waxed it, and vacumed it, when I got it back it was filthy, and I ran out of gas as I pulled into the gas station. which was a mile up the road.
I was going to complain but why, they dont care, the thing is I told the f_ _ _head I was picky about my car, he says to me oh it will be all wased up for you when you pick it up, fing liar.
What is it with the service writers, they have the customer relations of a nat. Got me!

You will have a chance for payback when you get your "how did we do"?" in the mail. I have received a form to fill and return from FORD Corporate each time mine's been in. Just remember your current frame of mind for the form.. .

Funny you say that, I got a survey call from them today, it didnt go well for them, and they said Ford would be surveying me too
My check engine light came on and it was because of the throttle linkage at the back of the intake rubbed a wire bare and was grounding out.
The wire was repaired and tied up away from the linkage.
I've had no other problems with my 05 gt
After 7500 miles of flogged usage, I only have 2 minor "issues".
1. My drivers side door handle does not spring back all the way upon release and sticks out a couple millimeters.
2. Clutch has very faint squeeking noise during the first/ last 10% of peddle depression/ letout.
Anyone else having these?
In a few weeks I will go to dealer for oil change (going to go synthetic) and will advise them of these issues.

I'm having the same problem with my driver door handle at 5K miles. I was debating griping about it to the dealer, as it is annoying. The only other thing I've had so far is my factory mat ripped the retaining pin out of my carpet! Talk about a sinking feeling when I first saw that hole...Hmm, looks like I may have to work on my signature as well... At any rate, I've really enjoyed reading the posts on this forum, so finally decided to cast my cyber voice out here.

I have had my 06 GT for almost 2 weeks...no problems...however the heat still comes out the defrosters even when its on the floor. glad I found this post.
Im taking mine in for the tank. Ive had mine since march and its got 1600 miles on it. I took mine in for plastic that was turning white and they scratched up my door sill replacing it. Took it in to have a nail taken out of my tire, they banged up my upgraded wheel. I have to take it back for replacement. I cant recreate the floor/defrost issue for them. 2 times for the seat not staying together. Each time i had to call and find out the status and from the start its been a hassle. I dont want to take my car in. Im VERY picky. Each time i get it back its filthy and awful. My door handle sticks out too on the drivers side. Maybe i washed the grease out of it?
Do they find out your name if you burn them on a survey?
