Well there is actually one kit that is out for the stang. Currently it is being sold by a well known aftermarket company (we'll leave their name out for now). This is the manufacturer's customer-direct web site (funny/cheesy name - but legit, owned by sylvania).

http://www.xesighting.com/products_d...&cat=1&prod=85

These are sweet.. bixenon (high and low beam in one). I'm pacing back and forth until they're available!

Don't get your hopes up Peet. I could be wrong but it looks more like those lights are made for old vehicles (sealed beam headlights). Unless, of course, you are prepared to do some good old fashioned hacking : )

I think Saleen will have a set on the market soon but we will have to pay the price. If anyone has put HIDs in pleeeeeeeeaaaasseee post pics....

Thanks,
Matt

I ordered the conversion kits today for the headlights and the fogs. The headlights are 9008 and the fogs are 9005....

I just installed the Sylvania Silverstar HID's tonight in the fogs and they are definately brighter/whiter than the stock halogen.I would recommend them! They are a bit of a PITA to get too , but look very nice compared to the stock lights. Now, once they release the H13's 9008 for the headlights I will be a happy camper.

We're talking about real HID's (i.e. bulbs, ballast, wiring harness.) not just bulbs with a blue coating on them. A little too Fast and the Furious for me..

The new Saleen has HID's. At least the 281SC car that I saw had them.

Whether they have plans to offer them as an aftermarket kit - I have no clue.

I am aware of that DINO, but the Sylvania Silverstar's are hardly rice. Many German vehicles (BMW,Audi etc.) have the silverstars as options on vehicles in place of the full HID kit.Granted they are not true HID's but certainly better than the halogens for let's see?...Hmmm?...hundreds less which = more mods

Andella (and rest) the link I sent is from the manufacturer of the HIDs that are on the Saleen. Someone said it so I guess I can chime in. So no need to hope - just a matter of timing now. YEY! I've been talking with that company about HID's for my Triumph motorcycle and these are the exact same lights (oddly enough) that fit the Mustang and my Speed Triple. FUN!
