JAMES AND NASTASI BRING NEW MUSTANG HOME TO VICTORY IN DEBUT RACE AT GRAND-AM CUP 200
(February 4, 2005) -- In the 2005 Grand-Am Cup Series season-opening Grand-Am Cup 200, co-drivers Ian James and Tom Nastasi drove the No. 5 Blackforest Motorsports Ford Mustang GT to victory at Daytona International Speedway. It was the debut race for the 2005 Ford Mustang GT, and was the first Grand-Am Cup Series overall victory for a Mustang of any generation.
The race will be broadcast on "Speed" on March 5 at 11AM Eastern.

1-2 sweep, apparently those people complaining about hood shake have some reason to worry. #5 car at least had some pins.

Is there a future recall here? I can see it now. Headlines: FORD ISSUES RECALL,HOODS FLYING OFF CARS! The fix: a couple of bungy cords and 200-mph tape.

Finally Ford makes a race car that still looks like a Ford, returning the old saying "Win on Sunday,Sell on Monday".

Yea, I caught that, too. Ironic that there are many posting about hood shake, then one of the cars loses its hood during the race!

i sense a recall. between that and all the other problems they are having... rear end, fuel(no big deal), shaker stereo, and others.
