im not an expert, but if you like the 2003 n 2004 better, you can get a 2003 or 2004 gt... instead of a 2005 v-6 mustang. You can get more power and a design you like better for nearly the same price

go and find yourself a Mach 1. A sweet car if you like 03's and 04's and all the horsepower of the new 05'

Personally, I would go with the 05.
If you can afford it, get yourself a blower and some eibachs and ull have urself a sweet GT beater that wont cost half as much to insure(if this sounds familiar, its b/c 5.0 magazine said it.)
I think everyone here has a different "slant" on which they'd prefer. I drove a bunch of 04's before settling on a 05' V-6. Since the change in the body and chassis are so different, it's a dramatic difference. To me, it boiled down to how often you look back at your car after getting out.

but atleast u wont have any recalls for the 2004.. and that is a big deal for me.. i dont want a lemon.. ford is so good in that deaprtment lol Also it is prize wise for me.. the 2004 is alot more affordable now.. and this will b my first mustang after driving a focus for the last year lol.. will c thnx all lol
but i dont know why... the 2004 looks more classy to me.. more of a bad boy car
go with an 01-04 gt. with the money you save you will have a very sweet, fast car. putting out all that money on an 05 v6 will take up all your cash. i think if you could afford a supercharger/ turbo setup for an 05 v6 then you would just buy the 05 gt....right?

Agreed, with the '04 you'd probably have less issues. However, I got a loaner car an '04 for a day. I couldn't wait to get mine back. The '04 they gave me just felt bad.
Its simple drive an earlier Mustang (01-04) and then drive the 05. You won't want the older version, the 05 is better in every respect. The new V6 has very good performance and if you get a manual trans you'll enjoy driving it even more. To me I never like the "New Edge" design of the 99-04 Mustangs (old Mustang was a 94 V6) and the new design (ibought a GT) just looks meaner then the previous models. Just remember whatever you chose, you're buying a Mustang and people now what a Mustang is (not a stupid number or letter car, i.e. 330ie, 300z, WRX).
well, everyone is entitled to there own opinion, mustangtk. my opinion is that an 01-04 GT is much better than an 05 v6. especially if you compare the difference in $$$$$$$$$$$ you will save for performance mosa after buying an 01 or so gt. and why not look into 96-98 cobras?

my thoughts exactly!
if you think that you want an 04' then absolutly DO NOT test drive a new 05'. there will be no looking back.

I understand the '05 is worlds better than previous models but damn when they are selling $32K '04 GT convertibles for $23K (before haggling) it does get your attention...
