I ordered a 2005 V6 last week. If I go to the lot before there is a build date and decide they have one I like on hand, do you think they will let me switch? I might have to do a color/ feature trade, but I would like to know my options.

my dealer produced a car 3 days after I ordered one. The sales guy new that I might buy one somewhere else if it came avaliable so, TAA DAA!!

It sounds like some dealers are being jerks about pulling/changing orders but I was up front about my plans at the beginning and they were more than cool with that. That was one more GT that they can get above their quota. The car I ordered is on its way in and they are tickled to death to get it.

V6's might be a different story tho, but they are pretty hot sellers too.

Is this different car on the same lot (or different lot with the same owner) as where you ordered? It it is, I dont see why they would care. If it isn't then that is a lost sale for them.

i also ordered one then got a call late last week from another dealer, that i had been talking to prior, called me back and said they had pretty much the same car i ordered.. I did sign the "Contract of Sale" and did not want to go through the hassle of a possible nightmare. No offense to any of you that are car salesmen, but sometimes they can be pricks. So i suppose I am just going to be content with my mustang coming in 6 more weeks

This is my first new car buy i'm handling myself so i'm learning a lesson eh! lmao

Well, I haven't seen a car on the lot I like yet, but I plan to check periodically... Might be a lot easier if I don't have to let my Dad sign for my car on my behalf because I'll be away for a couple of months.

There were about 10 V6s in the lot where I ordered from, but only one manual, and it was red. I don't like red.
