What Is The Measurments Of The Side Stripes.

Stock does not have any stripes.

There are stock side stripes. and stock rally stripes. I am not sure the width of the side stripe.

If you're talking about the stripe just above the running board in the Exterior Upgrade...... see attachment


This is what mine will look like except the stripe will be black......the girl was an option I just couldn't afford

As long as we're talking about stripes, does anyone have any info on the Ford Racing Stripes shown on the Yellow GT in the Sales Brochure? None of the Ford Dealers in Dade/Broward Counties have part numbers for them. There is a Yellow GT for Sale on Ebay at a Ford dealership that says the stripes are from Ford.

We can argue semantics all year long, but he WAS wrong. The side stripe comes with the Exterior Sport Appearance Package, which is installed at the factory, making it "STOCK", but maybe not "STANDARD". The fact that you have to order something doesn't mean it's not "stock", just not "standard".

Anyways, the side stripe AND the twin racing stripes are considered "stock" because you can order them from Ford. Your dealer should have a catalog with the racing stripes in it. Mine did, and it was a Ford catalog, not any other company.

The stripes from Ford are 6.5 inches wide, and they recommend 1.5 inches between them. Two colors are avaiable: Black and White. I beleive the side stripe is also available in White, but I have not seen one myself.

The Ford stripe does NOT go over either bumper, and my stripe stopped at the top lip of the rear trunk lid. They told me the stripe would go all the way down the trunk lid in back, but when they gave me the car, it did not. No explaination, just no stripe. "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you said NOT to go all the way down." Ya, right. i said 100 times I wanted to make sure the stripe went all the way down. Oh well, what can you do...

I'm getting them painted on as we speak.

They should not be over $450 installed at your Ford dealer, but make sure an expert is doing it. I have seen bad stripe jobs, and they look horrible.

The lower Rocker Panel accent stripes available from Ford are 2.25" tall and they only come in three (3) colors:

They are Black (order code 851), White (order code 852) and Pearl Gold (order code 853). They are part of the Exterior Upgrade Package (order code 54V) which is only available on the V6 Deluxe & Premium (110A & 120A). They are not available on the GT.

But if you want them or would prefer a different color. You might want to check out the link to Bob White's Decals on this site. They have about 20 different colors in both reflective and non-reflective decals. They also have the racing stripes in 8, 10 & 12 inch widths.

I've purchased Red lower rocker panel decals for my white gt with red interior ugrade.

I called 4 Ford Dealerships around here and they all say they are not available yet from Ford (The twin Racing Stripes). I also saw the Ford Catalog w/ picture of stipes, but no measurements. Are you sure they are 6.5 inches wide? Do you have a part number?

They are vinyl. They were pricy (600) but worth it. They did a great job with the lines and now (after seeing them) I will have them painted on next tax season
