I recall there being an old saying about cars built on Fridays are usually lemons as the manufacturers dont have their heads in the game. Whats is your opinion on this? I am locked in on for production March 4th.... A FRIDAY!!! My partner at work is telling me DONT DO IT I dont do less at work just because it is friday...
Does anyone with major car problems have a friday build?
I always heard Mondays were the worst days to have a car built. I wouldn't worry about it though. With robotics and modern engineering methods, most cars nowdays are pretty solid, regardless of the build day. Besides, that is what that warranty is for. Good luck on getting a build date .
Yeah, I've heard a tuesday built car was best, but like onewildhart stated, with all the robotics now it should be fine. My car was built on June 6th, 1994 (Monday-worst day supposedly) and its the best car I've ever owned. But then again its a Mustang so of course its the best!
My uncle had two old FORD f-100 and one was built on a monday and the other on teusday and this was a while back when the bulid date tag had the days they were built on but anyways the one built on monday lasted about 100,000 and the one built on tuesday is still running to this day with over 280,000 miles on it. I heard that Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays are the worst days and Tuesday and Thursdays are the best days.

The robots start drinking gear oil and too much on their breaks I heard All my rides seem to be built on Friday
I had a friend 20 years ago who worked in a auto factory tell me that you never wanted a car built on Monday or Friday. But with all of the Robotics today, it surely can't make that much of a diffference.
It's kind of ironic, when I placed my original order on Dec 9th. The salesman told me that the car would probably be built the first week in Jan. I cringed because he also said that it would be the employees first week back from Christmas break at the factory. I thought about telling him to delay the order just because of that - Ha!

My 05 was built on Tuesday.....no major problems....yet! As you can see, it is Friday, I should be working, but I'm screwing off on the computer!

You've gone through ten Mustangs? I wonder what a guy looks like when you get done with him?
After waiting this long... and still waiting... I don't care what day it's built on. I just want it. If it's a lemon, I'll drive it thru the Dealer's showroom window
hmmm. lets see, i heard it takes 60 hours to complete a mustang build....thats longer than a day.motors are pre built, trannys are pre built, after being a mechanic for 20 years i dont beleive it matters one bit what day it was built on. its a crap shoot in my opinion.dont let it bother you it dont mean a thing.what if the ford boss yelled a bunch of line workes on a thursday?what if a guys wife was raggin on him on a tuesday? get the picture? its all good just enjoy.its just metal.thats why we have quality control.also once i bought a brand new corvette and it was pulled for quality inspection.threw my delivary date off a week.but i did have the satisfaction of knowing the car had been gone threw very closely.it also had about 38 miles on it when it arrived at the dealership right off the truck.thats scary.but it turned out to be a good car overall.congrats on your mustang...you will love it....tripower.

Quality Control......that is a joke!
And ten mustangs.......well if they don't work right......what else can I do??? But trade them in! There are plenty of them, and you can always find one built better!!!
I don't think it matters worth a damn which date it was built! Do any of you do shoddy work because it's friday? Consider, how much do you think it costs a manufactorer for each lemon it builds? I imagine a manufacturer having to buy back a vehicle would probably sustain a total loss on the vehicle. How many cars do you think are built on fridays? I'd say, with a fair degree of certainty, about 1/5 of them. Can any manufacturer afford to have heavy warranty claims on 1/5 of their cars? They'd be out of business before anyone ever heard of them. I'm pretty sure Ford quality control keeps track of things, as if they don't, in this competitive world, they could all end up out of a job if they started commonly making defective cars.
Get the car, and enjoy it. I love mine, and, guess what.....IT WAS BUILT ON A FRIDAY!!!
