dose anybody knew, how to aktivate the RDS Signal on the Shaker 500 or 1000 Radio in the 05 Mustang

With the radio tuned to FM toggle the MODE button until RDS ON/OFF is displayed and chose ON. Be aware not all stations have the additional signals during their broadcasts, some simply give the radio stations call signs.

Could it be ONLY on the Shaker 1000? My Shaker 500 doesn't display an RDS setting

my Shaker 500 does. Tune to an FM station, hit mode, and push until you see RDS. Then move it to on.

my escape radio has that feature. however around here, only a couple of stations say the call letters, and none state the songs.

I get about 5 stations in Greenville, SC that have the feature. Its awesome.

I don't have a mode button. I only have a menu button.

same here, and the "menu" does not have RDS as an option.
Mine is the Shaker 500, shure it's not just the 1000?

not that this will really help me, just curious. I might be able to get my "bad" radio exchanged for a newer one.
the code at the end of test on my radio is 4R3T 18C8 1566 and I have no idea what this means, besides the maybe the firmware version. Anybody?

I have had a RDS radio in one of my cars for 7 years now. And not many stations are supporting it or displaying correct information. Some of the stations even change my radio clock time incorrectly because they don't account for daylight savings time. We're talking about NYC metro area here too.

To me, RDS has been a failure.

Satellite radio is showing them how it's done.

I'm not going to worry about RDS in my Mustang.

Turn radio on, press and HOLD!!!!! menu button until RDS on/off appears, adjust with scan buttons I believe. It is in your owners manual, try reading it.

mine is an A version radio. push and hold the button as indicated two messages up.

Worked great for me... I have the Shaker 500 and i held in Menu until RDS showed up i hit seek > and it said RDS ON i then hit menu again and chose Song Name instead of type.
