Default Fuel tank and Shaker Skipping

I dropped my gt off at the dealer this past fridayto get the tank replaced. They got it delivered to them in 3 days. I should pick it up tomorrow (Monday) after work. So If i got mine in three days i dont believe there is a wait on the tanks.Hope it cures the problem

Thanks for the info.

My wife found a way to fill the tank with fuel. This works also, I tried it. Insert the nozzle, then turn the handle to the right to where it's side ways and fill slow to med. Don't try to fill it fast. Give it a try and post if it works for you.

Went to the dealer today and had them order the fuel tank. The service people didn't know about the TSB.

I've filled up my Mustang 3 times so far (plus watched the salesman fill it at delivery) and haven't had any problems, guess I'm lucky. My Mustang was made Feb 2nd and the Tsb didn't officially come out for two weeks after that date. So maybe my tank is the new one. Most recent info from Ford about known issues is the pop/click noise from the front struts. Ford will be introducing a kit to fixed this problem soon, supposed to include a new rotator bearing and spring insulator.

Where are you guys finding these TSB's? And why don't all dealers know about them?

I got my mustang on dec 09 2004 and it was built in november. I havent had the gas problem that most of you are talking about but i do have the shudder. Mine is an automatic and the parking break vibrates when the trans. makes the first shift. I also have the shaker problem but in the last month it has only f.f. only 3 times. When i first got the car it would do it about 2-6 times an hour.

Went to pick my 05 gt up at the dealer after tank replacement. They said i needed to put gas in it cause it only had a couple ofgallons in it . Any way when i got to the gas station started putting gas in it and gas started to come out from under the car. Needless to say i was a little disappointed. Had to call a tow truck and take it back. The problem was an o-ring that popped out on install. They were very "sorry" and had it fixed in 30 minutes. But still sucked.I spilled like 5 gallons on the ground at the station. The manager wasn't too pleased. This could have been very catostrophic.

Angry "WE HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THAT"

I took my 05 into the dealer today for the gastank thing.. "WE HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS" even after I told them about the TSB I got funny looks like I was crazy.. when I go back they better have changed their tune.. but this time instead of being just another woman who "doesn't know what she is talking about" I'll go armed with that handy dandy printout of the TSB.

I get so Pissed when those A holes treat me like I don't know anything. I have a degree in engineering from a very good school, and have rebuilt many engines including a huge slow speed diesel 67,000 HP (yea, that's sixty seven thousand)** and yes I did have help for that one.. You guys can be such pricks sometimes.

PS: another one I like that you guys use "you must be mistaken miss" especially when used with "no ma'am, you must be mistaken, its supposed to make that noise and catch fire and..."

**the engine was made by "man b&w"
