Default Removal of GT side emblems

Has anyone removed the GT badge on the sides of a new GT?. Are they pinned with back catches or are they adhesive? Dont want to mess up the paint in any attempt to take them off. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm 99% sure they are pinned on. . . .I think there was a post about this a month ago. Holes in the body...

A previous post did indicate that they are pinned so there will be (2) holes when you take the badges off.

Just out of curiousity, why would you want to take them off. Unless you're one of those guys who likes driving in cars with no markings on it. I would think you want to be braggin that u driving a GT

I am so glad you asked...........THEY ARE HERE......IN MY GARAGE.......but, I am having them powdercoated clear, I don't want to spend hours polishing them every weekend, so off they go for now. It is so hard, I want them on NOW!!!!! They are perfect........I take back all the bad things I said about BOYDS..........well, maybe not the part about "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING OVER THERE".............it did take almost 4 months! It was well worth the wait.......I drop them off today, should take about 3 days..........with my luck, they will be lost, stolen, dropped............the powdercoating equipment will break.............I will have pictures as soon as they are done.

I took my rear emblem off because it was just too much. I did not like the fake gas cap look, and it was screaming "I drive an Escalade", besides.......I needed a new necklace!!! I am leaving the side GT's on...........I don't want the body shop screwing with the whole car, the trunk was enough!

I'm removing the rear emblem too, for the same reason. Looks a little gaudy to me. Thought about removing the side emblems but they will stay for now.

Just wondering, hot car, hot bike :thumbsup . I know a couple of other people with mustangs and bikes. I have my 05 GT and a 02 Honda Shadow. Anyone else have both the two wheel and 4 wheel joys?

If you take your emblems off, there may be a market for them. From some of the other threads, looks like some of the V6 owners are trying to mod theirs to look like the GT's by adding fog lights to the grill. Maybe they want to buy GT emblems, too!
