I'm taking mine in tomorrow (Thur) for tinting by the Ford Dealership's Performance Section. I spoke to the manager and asked him key questions about the tint being scratched on the new mustangs due to the inside window molding not having been felt'd (?). He said they've done dozens of tinting on the new mustangs and not a single customer has come back yet complaining of scratch problems...hmmm...interesting. He assured me though if the tint were to get scratched due to the inside molding, they'd replace the tint...guess I'll be testing the waters and see.

Had mine done 30 also. I have had my tint for 6 months and there are scrape marks visible, especially at the bottom when the windows are rolled up. This can be prevented by installing felt. My tinter offered a lifetime warranty so Ill be back soon to have the felt installed and the windows re-tinted. Funny thing is I mentioned the felt to them and they said "come back if you have any problems and we will felt it". How could they see into the future!? I also put a strip along the top of the front windshield. Helps with the sun and it accentuates the gunslit winshield.:thumbsup

Well she's tinted, looks good too, the Ford Performance Center did a good job and the price was also very good. Spoke directly to the installer and he said pretty much the same thing as the mgr did about no complaints as of yet from previous customers about scratching. The one thing I am going to do, is find this window cleaner I had years ago. Can't recall the name of it, clear fluid in clear bottle, claimed to be great for tinted windows..think it had a little silicone in it, made the tint a little slick so it would reduce any friction from the weather strips. So far no scratches appearing, will keep a close eye.
