Okay all you road-racers out there, I have a delimma. I recently purchased the Steeda dead pedal for my '05 GT along with the other 3 pedal covers. Now you may see by my handle that I own Brit iron and I have installed a dead pedal in my MGB for track racing (Sears Point, etc

.
Here is the delimma: In my MGB I placed the dead pedal in line with the clutch pedal so that when I am cornering I have a brace for my left foot. When I need to shift I just pivot my heel and am at the clutch pedal. With the GT the pedal is mounted much further back toward the driver seat and it is 8-10 inches in front of the clutch.
I know that Steeda wanted to use a factory bolt to secure the pedal to the kick panel but the one used to too far forward. There is another one a couple of inches forward of the factory foot rest but the new pedal mount won't fit there although it would be in about the right place.
Anyone with experience on this placement thing? Am I OTL?
