Question Installed OEM fog lights, but not working

My wife bought a sonic blue '05 V6, and had me add the GT-style fog lights. I installed the OEM GT grille (in the V6 bumper cover ... no small task, but it fits nicely), OEM fog lights, OEM front lighting wiring harness (from the engine compartment fuse box to all the front lights, horns, etc.), OEM GT dashboard switch, and added the micro relay and 15-amp fuse in the appropriate slots. All that and they do not illuminate. Has anyone else here installed the OEM parts and run across the same problem? Or know of something I missed?

Thanks in advance.

I learned I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. A local dealer who installed a pair of GT fog lights on a V6 (WITH the GT bumper cover) has run into the same problem. The mechanic assigned to this project is a bit stumped with the readings he's getting from one of the circuits. I hope to learn more from them later.

Well, the mechanic figured it out. He had to add two wires under the dash that are not included in the applicable harnesses, AND he had to get Ford to give up the coding data that allows the V6 ECM to "recognize" the OEM fog lights.

Guess I'll be taking the wife's car to the dealer for an hour or two of their labor. I'm glad I got a good rapport with them (I build radius-rods for Ford Excursions).

Sounds like its harder than it should be! There's a kit on Ebay, says it has everything you need, wonder how it works w/o reprogramming?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have seen the eBay kits. We prefer to have the lights appear and function like the GT OEM lights. For example, do the eBay kits turn the fogs off when the high beams are actuated? Or does one have to turn them off manually?

UPDATE: When the master-tech got hold of my wife's car, he found that he did not have to add the two wires like he did on the other one he modified for the dealer. All he had to do was reflash the ECM/PROM with the new code. I heard he was checking the build dates between the cars in order to determine if the two wires were included on the earlier cars, or on the later ones. He will be modifying another one soon since as the local dealers are seeing a good return on such cars.
