I really like my single GT take-off axle-back muffler. Much deeper and a bit louder than stock. Seemed to give a slight boost in performance, though no dyno to back that up. This is a very inexpensive upgrade through Mike at

Here's a sound clip...

The exhaust really opened up after I added JBA shorty headers...much louder and meaner over just the GT muffler... very noticeable increase in hp/tq and quicker revs. A really nice sounding single exhaust that's makin' the 4.0L feel much more like a muscle car... I'm not missing duals with this setup (don't want to replace or cut my bumper anyways).
Yup... I know... it's never gonna sound like a V8... but, it sounds like a very spiffy V6!
Got a decent deal at

The clip really doesn't do it justice...

I'm still interested in Magnaflow's axle-back. I think they got the tip looking perfectly. But, the sound clips on their website sound a bit much like an import to my ears. Steeda is using the Magnaflow on their 05 V6 for the performance boost/sound. Maybe I just haven't heard a decent clip. I wonder what it would sound like with the JBA headers... hmm...
