Hey all, I noticed there isnt much convo on bodykits, my guess either due to lack of interest or just not done much yet. I have started my research and I am thinking of getting the front fascia of the Roush Body kit and the Rear Valance of the Street Scene body kit. Kinda curious how it would look as I have a black GT. Is mixing kits a bad idea, or is that common? Opinions appreciated as are pics of your own kits. Thanks!
Let me tell you. If you wanna find out what any mixing & matching of body parts looks like I have an answer for you! There is a computer graphics guy that has a website called creating the lie. His name is doug shram. He built an amazing stang for me on line. He is incredibly talented. He's worth the $$. His email is burningman@creatingthelie.com. He will work with you on every detail. The more info you give him the better.
So, once he finished the design, it allowed me to see that the mix/match flowed nicely together. During my quest to customize my car I've learned a few things. It's apparently not as simple as ordering the aftermarket parts, putting them on your car and painting them. Apperently a lot of parts come really rough and need lots of elbow grease (which translates to $$) to make them fit right. Most autobody shops I've checked with weren't too eager to taken on the project. So one company is going to prep the parts, and them someone else will paint it.
hope that helps. I'll post updates as soon as I make any progress.

Eh, mabey the old fiberglass kits, but kits such as street scene, roush, razzi, and most the new 05 kits are made of durable urethane that dosnt take much but the know-how and the tools. I am mixing the roush spoiler, lovers, with the street scene body kit. Good luck

My car is almost done at a local shop. Red Rally stripes & Shelby GT 500 rocker stripes. Cervini duck tail & side scoop with CDC classic chin spoiler & CDC light bar. The shop is fabricating a honeycomb grill insert for the side scoops. No drilling anything so i can go back to 100% stock.
Looking forward to posting pics soon !
Personally I'm going for a 68 Shelby GT500 Convertible look so I mixed & matched to what I prefered.
Since the GT500 moniker has no real meaning for the car, it will be my inspiration to get up to 500 (gross) HP
I look fwd to seeing some of these body mods soon. What do you guys thing of the CDC ducktail versus the cervini ducktail??

I think you picked a great mix! i was thinking the same, roush front bumper, roush rear spoiler, and street scene rear valance, I don't like the razzi one, it sucks, too ricy. good luck and go ahead, but you should go with the roush spoiler too, it fits black real well. ;-)

I returned my cdc ducktail because i feel it needs to be taller. The best possbile view of it is from behind. Anyother angle it just looks like a 2 by 4 sitting on the back of your car. I went with the street scene one instead.
