How do you close your trunk without smudging your finish?

Good Q! I grab the inside cut-out and pull down, then when lower use other hand finger in the key hole to slam. Mickey mouse, hu?

I use the chromed GT trunk badge. Smudges don't show there as much as the paint. We're a weird lot aren't we

I think we're all nuts!!! I'd like to drive mine in a bubble but thats no fun. I was at the supermarket the other day and felt real nervous about parking it in the lot and leaving it so I parked it way, way, way out where there were no other vehicles parked. When I finished shopping I walked way, way, way back to my 50 satin silver GT and noticed that the cart return rack was about 50 feet up-slope from where I parked.Yeh, I got lucky-no run-a-way shopping carts.

Wouldn't the most "sanitary" way to close it be to just leave it open, get in the car, fire it up and punch the gas? Let momentum slam it shut!

One finger between the deck lid and the spoiler....this is really sick!

I don't want anyone touching her. If anything goes into my trunk it has to go straight up and in. Don't dare touch my paint or any of the trim....

For me, to open the trunk lid I lift with one finger under the spoiler. To close, the GT badge trick.

I parked my car way out in the parking lot yesterday where there were PLENTY of open spaces a lot closer to the store door. I parked next to the island to reduce the likelyhood of door dings by 50%. I also parked close to the island curb to leave as much space between me and whomever. I finish my shopping and got to my car to find a freaking minivan parked next to Marcus. I thought I was going to have to kill some soccer mom in front of her kids. BUT, no dings so she was lucky. Dang people. Dont they know how I feel about my car?
