I was at the Long Beach Grand Prix this weekend and Maguair's was set up there with all of their stuff, now you'd think they would have 'show' specials right? wrong! $16 for the tech wax and when I said I could get it a Wally world(Wall-Mart) for $14 they just said well buy it there, the cheek!! I would've dropped a c-note to stock up on the various products if they would've had 'deals' instead they left a sour taste.

I have tried tons of products. Here is a small sampling of what is in my garage. I used to write a detailing column, trust my findings.

Listed in order of best shine:
Frenzy
Platinum Ultimate Paint protection
Blackfire all finish
Zaino Z2,Z5,Z8
Rejex
Poor Boys EX-P
S100
Mequirs NXT
Wet
Wolfgang paint sealant
Vanilla Moose
Menzerna FMJ
Klasse All in One
One Grand Blitz wax

P21S
Pinacle Paste Glaz

However for a red car: Ally a few coats of Blackfire and top with platinum Ultimate Paint protection. It will look SO deep - you could almost go swimming in it. (of course the whole key to proper shine is the prep)
Hey now,
What do you think of the Klasse all in one product? What's best for those stubborn acid rain spots you get when you look down level at the paint? Thanks

Klasse is ok for shine and lasts. I'd give it a "5" overall. Blackfire is much better as is Frenzy.

For acid rain?? ouch. Try using 3m swirl remover for your paint type (light or dark) w/ a porter cable 7424 orbit polisher on 4.5 w/ an orange pad to remove most or all of the marks and prep the surface. Then, if acid rain is common in your area, use synthetic wax/polish w/ a red pad for protection.
Rejex (my 1st choice for acid rain), Blackfire and of course Klasse.

The article makes it sound very labor intensive, but it is really pretty easy. (It should only take 10 - 15 minutes to do the hood start to finish) Once done, you should have a shine SO deep you can swim in it.
