Thumbs up Where do i hang exhaust on the driver side????? Please help

I own an 05 v6 and im looking under my car ...(not right now ) and i dont see where im supposed to hang my second muffler/tip on my drivers side. Is there a hole and if so theres no rubber piece to slide the hanger thats welded to the muffler... On the side with exhaust on it, I do see where to hang it. Theres supposed to be no drilling or anything, just bolt on dual magnaflow exhaust?? Im confused

Any help is much appreciated:thumbup :thumbup

If you look at the way your passenger side is mounted .there you will see a "L"
type bracket that the muffler attaches to.

You will need one of those for the the drivers side. If you look, you will see th pre drilled hole for the bracket.

Good Luck.........If you need more help just ask

Default Given what I read here....

I am wondering if there is anyway at all you can stop the mods... and get this one traded in on a GT and then pick up the ball where you left off. I see the expense/effort you are willing to put into this one and wonder what your goal is as I read this. I suspect you would serve yourself better to get into the GT and then do stuff to it...

Please understand, I am looking at this from my point of view, I mean no disrespect. :thumbsup

How's that a better deal? $400 for a set of dual exhaust or an extra $5k-8k for a GT. All his other mods he has listed he would still have to do if he had bought a GT.

I enjoy the proccess too! I have built everything I've owned including 5 V8 Pinto's in the old days and currently a Blown 427 cid in my Durango and a multitude of Pro-Street cars (two of them '69 & '70 Mustangs). I would start with a faster car & make it faster yet.... that's my comment. I "think" he wants to go faster.

I put a Ford LeMan's Racing engine into My LSC Linclon and I took the BMW Turbo Diesel out. Went from 42 miles to the gallon to 12 ! I never make sense to anyone else either.

As far as "a better deal" There are no deals or rational thoughts involved in what a motor head does ! I put $35K into 10 thousand dollar cars all the time. I don't think in terms of deals .. only what it doesn't have yet...

Heck I bought another GT just to have a stick so it would be faster to start with... Money isn't what I was thinking about reading his post, speed was.

Some of us modify our V6s because we couldnt get a GT! I waited for 3 months for a factory ordered GT only to be told I am defaulting to an 06 and wait another 3 months! Waiting isnt one of my better traits so I found a loaded V6 in Sonic Blue. That Sonic Blue color WONT be available in 06 and I had to have it. I like the way the GTs look so I put the GT grill in already, put the GT tires on, I am putting a ducktail spoiler on, ordered my dual exhaust today. So for about 24K I have what I want and didnt have to wait any longer. I wasnt into going real fast and gas mileage is a concern so the V6 is fine with me.

To get back to the orginal question of this thread, if you get say a magnaflow system like I ordered, link below

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...merican&id=947

You remove your exhaust from the cat back. Your orginal stock muffler has 2 of those rubber brackets that cost like $70 each at Ford and arnt available from what I hear. You only need 1 per side with the magnaflow rather than 2 each side with the GT so you just transfer one of the 2 to the drivers side underneath. The holes and nut plates are already there. The kit isnt going to give you alot more preformance, just better looks and a better sound.

When I receive mine I will look at it and probably do it myself. If it looks like a pain I will bring it in to the local muffler shop to do. It cant be that much more for them to do. Also if you are going to use your stock V6 bumper you will have to notch the drivers side out to make it look like the passengers side so the other exhaust can poke through. Or you can do what I did and order a GT bumper and it has the notches in it already.
