I installed the JBA axle back exhaust on my 05 GT a few weeks ago and they are just not loud enough for me. Anyone here have the Mac Performance axle backs? I work with a guy that just installed the Mac's on his GT and it sounds really, really good. I don't like the JBA's because its not a deep tone, its sort of like a rice burner sound. Anyone here with Mac axle backs tell me what you think of the exhaust. Thanks

I have MACs on from about two weeks old...

The sound is simply AWESOME!!!


Every guy who was asked me the question, "What about MACs???" has learned that the sound of the MAC axleback mufflers is heavy, loud, deep and thoaty...

I went the other way, exchanged my MACs for the JBAs. The MACs sounded absolutely great! And I'm pretty sure I had a bit more low end TQ with them, butt dyno...

The MAC's were deffinately manly! My problem was all my highway miles at 65-80 MPH in the low 2000 RPMs. The drone was just unbearable for me... and just as I found a speed where it was bearable there was a hill or a slowdown and it started again... would have loved to but couldn't live with them... the everyday driver/commute thing you know...

i had a MAC on my V6 and couldn't take the resonance either. they're a bit too loud for me. went JBA.
