I just had a Paxton Supercharger with Charge Cooler installed in my 2005 Mustang GT. The car runs AWESOME!!! Puts out close to 500 Horsepower. NO problems with tempeture. I also installed a MagnaFlow Exhaust system with Tru-X pipe with Cats from headers back. I also installed a Mustang GT plenum cover which makes the engine compartment dress up nice. Here are some pics.
I had the Paxton supercharger installed about 3 weeks ago. I have not had any problems. There is no temp. or other issues. My GT is an automatic. It rips both 2nd and 3rd gear, without me shifting it myself. Thats with the overdrive turned off. I personally think the exhaust is a little loud. But that my taste. The wheels are 20" DONZ Wheelz. I will keep you up to date on any issues. The garage says it puts out close to 500 horsepower. But, I have not had it dyno'd yet.
very, very nice. The SC's not bad either. I hate you.

I currently have 3 SC cars (two are Paxtons) and I want to put one on the '06 when it comes....(likely the Saleen)....
I have never put one on a car I didn't pull the motor and beef the bottom (rods/pistons/balance) and I am real curious what the life of these will be with OEM builds. Please keep us up on any noises or concerns you encounter.
that paxton kit looks like it has really high HP potential...
Thanks for posting your news on that kit, because so far
you're the first person i've seen with it on.
I'd be curious to see how that kit would do head to head with
the procharger. I'm still confused as to why the procharger's quarter mile times seem to be so much better than all the other superchargers i've seen
You need a dyno, 500 is very do-able with a S/C but, watch out for your A/F, detonation, tune, etc.
Sweet wheels.
I have used a lot of A/F gauges (even used one from Dawes Engineering that was a little plastic box with LEDs!) Here is my current favorite. I have it in my Paxton Novi 2000 install with Federal Mogal FAST engine managment system. I paid about $150 more than they are now though!. Sweet gauge. I have the one shown at the top left in a gauge pod. (I clicked link and then it was not the correct page (sorry) it WAS when I was looking at it. You will have to chase it down on their page. (sorry) ON EDIT I did attach a picture of it.

Hi Joemax, Great Car. Where are you from? The trees look like the dead of winter has got them! Not a leaf to be found. Still pretty green here in Iowa. Russ.

NYC here. I had my Mustang since end of October 2004. Got the 1st one from the dealer here. The photo was taken around April. I'm still waiting for a Mass Air Flow and a 70mm Throttle body to come out. Good luck to everyone.
Good thread... sucking it all up for my upcoming Vorthech install... hate going to the shop seeing it laying there in the box all set to go... Hopefully I'll get my P&P heads soon so I can get going... (Ferrea sent the wrong valves and now they have been closed/slowed from hurricane damage down there in Florida... )
A/F meeter is a good thing to have, especially the one above here that actually shows the ratio and not only high, normal or low... One can however get by with boost and fuel pressure, any one of them off don't step on it and find the problem...
I would swap some parts in my tranny if I had an auto and was pulling 500! The T5 can take a beating but the auto... plus slip etc. would be annoying!
So where are we at regarding the bottom end? First number was stock plus 20%, then 400 RWHP and the latest I heard was 500... It seems they threw more beef in there than everybody seemed to think at first... Vorthechs test car have done over 150 dyno pulls with the stock bottom, some of them in the 800 RWHP range! So revs seem okay but it's another thing under stress (actually moving the 3500 lb beast...) I'm planning on building a shortblock this winter... any suggestions? Full block and bottom, only rotating parts, stock block steel bottom, alu bottom forged block...???
Any thoughts about the tranny and back with lets say 17 PSI and +700 on the wheels?
Thanks for any input!
