Default Mustang owners with Ford stripe kit... how do you like them?

Hey who has the Ford racing stripes on there car? How do you like them? Do you sometimes wish you would've went to an outside paint shop instead?

i ordered mine with the racing stripe and front chrome grille....i know it would have been cheaper at an afetrmarket joint but thinking about value down the road...if everything on my car is ford original...then wow...my grille was ready on time...my stripe hasnt arrived at the dealer yet....funny...i waited 8 weeks for my satin silver gt and they expected me to wait another 2 weeks and pick up the car with the stripe...ha ha...i'll bring it back for the stripe...i think the stripe brings out the eleanor in the car!!!

IMO the Ford stripes people are getting put on at the dealer do not look half as good as the one's I have seen people getting from other body shops. The stripes are too thin and don't cover enough of the car. The best stripes IMO are ones that are 10" wide with 3/4" to 1" spacing in between and ones that go down the rear end and down the front bumper. Like the ones in this picture.

Agreed...those are by far the best looking stripes. Just the way Shelby wanted them to be.

Nice stripes. Is that a satin silver paint job? What color are the stripes. I have an 06' GT, tungsten grey, and I want an off grey color for my stripes. Are the stripes painted on or are they vinyl.

Default stripes

I had mine done after I got the car. I went to a graphics guy that does all the Ford's for this one dealership. It is a 3M vinyl that is 10" wide with a 1/2" space between. He wouldn't do the stripe all the way down the bumper, which was okay because I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep the stripes or not.

I like them and now just need to convince the wife that a $2000 paint job is in order to get the full look I am going for........but I should proably wait until I get the shaker so there is less to paint!

I'm with you. I have a 06 Tungsten (on order) that should be here very soon. I want either an off grey or maybe red to match the ICAP.

Mines NOT from Ford. Quality is good and they look great.

The way Mr. C. Shelby wanted.
