Default TSB for front struts??

I took my car to the dealership to investigate a thumping sound in the front end and a small vibration as I exceeded 45MPH, it stopped around 60. (the vibration, not the acceleration!!).

Anyway, the service rep told me that the thump/popping was due to a loose exhaust clamp, the clamp caused the muffler to shift and that was the source of this noise. Rather peculiar that we did not hear it in the back.

The vibration they said, was due to a faulty strut, a TBS had been issued about this one. I have never heard of a faulty strut issue. Is this true? Has anyone experienced this same vibration. It is almost as if the tires were out of balance.

There is a TSB ( not TBS ) that has been out for quite a while on front strut popping. Not sure if it would be the same one that your service advisor spoke of or not. Did he give you the TSB number?

Performance mods: Lets just say it's not stock.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

This IntelliTXT stuff sucks.
