I'm sitting here at work and had a few things on my mind that I've been dying to know, but don't really feel like calling up my Ford dealer to ask (considering I work at a Toyota dealership and know how bad it is to get "how much is this?" calls).
Anyways, can anyone help me out here?
Do 05 GT's have cabin air filters?
Should I change my air filter when it gets dirty, or is there a good set mileage I should look at getting it done. And when I do, what's the best performance air filter I should look at getting?
Should I just worry about flushing my transmission/brake/power steering fluids when they are looking bad, and not worry until then?
One other thing, its sort of involved. About a week or so after getting my car, I bought some car washing supplies which included some cotton rags (that don't work for **** it turns out). So, anywho, I washed and dried it and a few days later, I noticed that there were these white streaks running un and down on my tint. They are very fine lines, but there are like 2-6 on my driver and passenger windows, with a few running like 6-8 inches high!! So, do you guys think that I can someone how get the tint replaced under warranty and play stupid on what the streaks are? From experience, do you think that the dealership would go for that? I looked at the warranty slip that came with the car for the tint, but it just said bubbling and tearing/holes showing up or something is covered.
Thanks for your time and I appreciate any answers.
You got your tints done at the dealership? If that's so then that was probably your first mistake lol, I don't know how it is in the states but around here the Ford dealers aren't good for sh*it all and I wouldn't trust them doing my tints or probably anything else with the car.

Well, the tint was freaking amazing. It was done in August, and I bought my car in September. So I'm sure the tint was settled and everything was fine with it.
I actually remembered one more question, can I change the lights in the dash that come on when I turn the lights on? That green color is disgusting. I didn't get the upgrade package for the lights because it was like a thousand dollars more and stuff. When the white is on the gauges, it looks nice. Any thoughts?

There is a cabin air filter and it's supposed to be replaced at 15k miles. Unfortunatley, I haven't been able to buy one (not even the dealers had one). The air filter is rated for 30k miles, I think, but I replaced mine at 15k (these numbers are in the service guide).
As for what type of air filter, that's up to you. Only the dealer had the air filter, and it was expensive. I'm sure plenty of guys will talk about one type being better than another, but I've never seen a real side by side comparison.
