Sometimes I long for the good ol' days, when "performance" meant installing your air filter lid upside down to get more airflow...

Oh yeah... What I'd give for some pushrods and a good ole' Holly 4-barrel carb! Life was so much easier then.

no no Sonny...I sent my tumer back to Fred and he changed it for me. your TC is fine. I ddint want the hassel of turning it off all the time at startup. I just thought it could be reversed but it can only be set to always off or on at startup with us having the option of turning it off...with the SCT as far as I know. I had Fred change my fast idle speed at cold start up since I no longer have cats I dont want the high rpms at startup plus my exhaust is loud and I dont want the neighbors bitchin....and while he was at it he changed the TCS but again I thought I could turn it on when I wanted to.

I'm guessing he leaves it alone unless you specifically ask for it to be disabled??

Yes, that is correct. He was essentially warning me against having it turned off.
