antenna mod for XM roady2 I have an XM Roady 2 that I use with the built in FM xciever. Recently, they've launched a lot of radio stations locally, all on the freq's that my roady works on. Suddenly, I have lots of static, and don't even want to listen to XM. I started looking at the available adapters, but $100? Ouch!
So, in a flash of insight, I removed my antenna mast. Works like a CHARM. The XM is crystal clear and way strong, the one or two main local stations are OK, and the little annoying stations are gone.:thumbsup
Now, does anybody have a solution for improving the look of the antenna base without filling and painting the hole? How do you remove it?I'd like to be able to put the factory one back on in the future, just in case.
