Default JBA Header question (install problem)

I am trying to get some feedback from anyone that has installed JBA longtube headers. I received one pair of headers and found I could not get the h-pipe to slip onto the header collector more than 1/2". After looking further, the collector is out of round. I called JBA and they sent out another pair of headers. These arrived today, and are worse than the first pair. I can get the h-pipe to slide about 1/2" onto one of the headers but, I cannot even get the h-pipe onto the second header.

So, what I am trying to find out is: has anyone else that installed these headers found the collector was out of round and you had problem putting the h-pipe on?

Thank you.

same problem here, but header was not out of round... just a tight slip fit.

What we did was I held the H-pipe on the pipes after installing the headers as far up as I could get it. Then I had a friend alternate hitting the rear of the H-ppe(drivers side then pass side) and the pipe slowly moved up on the collectors.

Also something to note is that we had to bend the hangers a bit to get it to fit just the way we wanted. THen we discovered that some of the scres from the chassis stuck out too far so I used a dremel with a cut off wheel to remove what was left of the screw below the nut. ou will see what I mean when you put the H-pipe under the car (this applies to a catted H-pipe)

Hope this helps

I should have mentioned that it was a rubber mallet that he was hitting the pipes with.
