Well I get up go to wally world for some breakfast supplies xcome out start the Stang go to put it in reverse..............nothing, the damn button won't go in!!! so I'm stuck in park in the wall mart parking lot just waiting for all of the dolts to show up and ding the hell outta my ride Got to call roadside to get that car outta there before the crowds come..........
Anyone else have this problem with the shifter????
Well it's now at Heller Ford behind the sevice gate, tow truck driver got to me and said "did you step on the brake?" duh!!! yes I did:thumbsup But that will be my guess that it's the brake switch inter-lock................
I noticed that little acess plate beside the shifter and wondered if that was to get a stuck shifter outa park or if you car has a dead battery and you need to move it..you can release it from park thru that cover

I cant get mine to lock into park sometimes. Thank god the key want come out of the ignition until its locked in because you cant really tell until you cut the car off and try to get your key out. Starting to get on my nerves.
I have had problems with my shifter, it would not always recognise that it was in D or R with out me going down past the relative D or R and then back up to it, this is now my third shifter on warrantyand this one is fine although a little stiff, the others are right all modern Autos have a release button down under neath.

Dang, its stuff like this that makes me as nervous as a one legged man in a butt kickin' contest! Glad it was an easy fix though.
They said the tech went through a quik check on all of the connectors that could be acessed and found a couple of others that were "not right".........
