I just noticed that the lower-front of both of my seats just "hangs" there. It's not attached or fitted up underneath.
Would some of you take a look at your seats to see if this is normal?
It sure looks odd for some reason.

It is 'normal' in that most of our cars do it. They are not supposed to. There is a TSB out for it and when I had mine in for the front strut popping my dealer supposedly 'fixed' it. I just noticed this past weekend while detailing my car that mine have come loose again. There is a thread listing all TSBs for the S197s on another site, Can't remember which one.

There's a hook and groove type connection on the front of the seats. The action of getting in and out of the seats allows them to come appart. I had the exact same problem with a 95 Dodge Dakota.
Ya just have to check em whenever you vaccum the car and pop them back into place.

Yeah....kinda sucks. Mine are hanging right now too. And I'm sure its done for assembly line efficiency. But it seems all the manufacturers use the same type design.........and it does come in handy if you ever want to change the skins on your seats.

Thank you so much for that YALLER. That sheads a lot of light on the problem. Now i understand why mine keep coming loose.
I dont think i want to remove my seat.
Looks like we need to take em back to the dealer Otto Man.

No need to take the car back to the dealer. The fix can be performed with the seat installed. Did mine last year, and they have not popped loose yet.
Thanks ski.......I'll give mine a try this week-end. Just dont want to pull the seat for something like this. But if you say so.....I'll give er a try.

Follow the instructions in the TSB in Yaller's post.
I see that now. I wonder how much of a task it is to remove the seats. I read in the instructions it's not for the do it yourselfer. I have no idea how to disable the SAB's.
