Default FRPP header fit problems

Has anyone had any issues with Ford Racing shorty headers hitting the steering shaft or the left front 02 hitting the fire wall on the driver's side? I installed a set on my 05 and was very disappointed to see how poorly they fit. I bought them thinking that they were from Ford so they should fit pretty good. I guessed wrong. I ended up shimming the left motor mount up 3/16 to 1/4" to get them to clear. I also put a set of Granatelli under drive pulleys on at the same time and the water pump pulley hit the lower alternator stud. Also no instructions either. You really need to know the proper torque for the crank bolt as it is a stretch bolt. Not a good day for the aftermarket. I pretty much expect things not to fit anymore. The best fitting part I bought so far was the CDC classic chin spoiler. They get a 10 out of 10 for that one.

I have the FRPP shorties on my 2006 - no problems at all.
With the Steeda UDP's, they give you a bolt to replace that overlength stud that solves the water pump pulley clearance issue. As for the balancer bolt, torque is 116-121 ft-lbs.
