I installed the CAI, then I put in the Predator tune. When I took unplugged the predator and went to start my car, the car did not start. It said fail-safe engine mode. WHat do I do?????

Actually... I got it working. After reading about failsafe engine mode for 15 minutes, I went back down, and tried turning on the car and it worked. I then reinstalled the predator tune (I had changed it back to the original) and it worked on the first try. I was very impressed by the C&L CAI and the Predator. I could feel a noticeable difference while driving.

I have the same tune, but i took it to a dyno shop and they customized it to my cars readings. Using the 91 octane tune my car is around 295 RWHP using the Dynojet. I was happy with the C&L and Preditor also

I downloaded the tunes from C&L website when i updated my preditor. I bought it used from some guy with a roush so i had to redo the programing via serial cable. Then I dynoed at a Diablo Sport dealer that customized my tune to my car. I think it gave me another 5-7 HP. I know the XCAL has more guys that tune from it, but i am lucky I am near a shop that is a good Preditor tuner. There is a guy from Washington State (520) that uses a similar tune and he had a lot of mods like NOS and headers.etc..but he's in the 11s

There seems to be a problem with the most recent tune updates with the DSPs. I have the DSP direct from Diablo. Rev 28 seems to create a problem like you describe. It happend to me, so I just cleared the trouble codes and the car started right up. DSP needs to do something about this issue.

When mine was installed the car wouldn't start with the canned tune. Luckily it was already at the tuners shop. Took a few hours and they had it running pretty good. It would still throw a lean code now and again and we just bumped the MAF curve up. I need to take it back down to the tuner and have it run some more since I installed the JBA axle backs. Want to see if it made any difference.
