Stupid theoretical question, 5.4 crank in 4.6 block... Do the 4.6 and the 5.4 modular engines share a block? I remember seeing that they share the same bore, then would it be as simple as a 5.4 crank and sump with a tune to make a 5.4 litre Mustang GT?
I'm thinking that there has to be some reason this wouldn't work or it would be a relatively common mod.
Just playing around in my mind.
