I've been trying to figure out a way to use an iPod with this car without a mini radio transmitter. I live in Oakland, CA (Bay Area) and the radio frequencies are saturated so I have to change the frequency all the time. Even though there is an AUX button on the Radio, FORD says there is no way to hook up anything to the back of the radio. I don't have a satellite radio, but have seen an in-line adapter for the antenna that seems like it would work. Any suggestions?
Look up the P.I.E FRD-04-AUX. You will find it on google. or search the site for P.I.E

I just took my car into the dealership. I am waiting for them to tell me that this adapter is what has whacked out my instrument panel. I have seen 2 other posts having the same issue. Don't buy the ISFD71 from ISimple that is for sure.
Seems like a great solution!
The only thing is that the device I used will work for any output that has the 1/8" audio jack - the new Zune devices, PDA's, everything...
Folks may want to check out my guide for getting the radio out in any case.

you are correct, this device works only with an Ipod. he mentioned an ipod in his post.

well here we go; i have had my updated peripheral unit for 11 months and today my instrument cluster went crazy;;; i had to disconnect the battery for an hour and disconnect the peripheral unit; all is ok now but if yours has not screwed your car up yet iT WILL -- be warned and if it is still under warranty tell them it went crazy and get your money back.
Now i am looking for another option - i am also confused with the new PIE - gotta find out if it works on the 05's or not; if you know please post.
