Need Carbon Fiber hood info.

Do any of you have a carbon fiber hood on you 05 or 06 GT? I am wanting to buy an OEM style and I saw several different manufactures. The salesman I called said most are made in China and they range from 500.00-700.00. Question: Are these any good as far as fit and finish. Do they really fit as well as the OEM hood? Is there a company which you believe has the best and their phone no. or web site. Thanks.

I Looked at the Cervinis hoods, both the Ram and the Cowl, and like them allot... I'm pretty sure they're made in the US. I have heard of NO fitment problems. Since shipping is ~150 bux they make sure to have a good fit!

Some say you dragg in dirt with the ram-air hood... some guys plenum got sanded...?? I have also heard that there will be more lifting force under the hood as the out vent is not large enough...?? But that's for speeds over 120 I read...

I'd still get the ram hood for cooling... maybe build my own vectoring system to get the air to the filter location... supposedly Cervinis are working on a system as such...?? The cowl hood works too... the Eleanore hood looks awesome if that's you cup of tea...

Maybe I am missing something here. I didn't realize any of the Cervini's hoods were carbon fiber.

You are not going to be saving much weight if that is the reason you are going carbon fiber. The stock hoods only weigh about 20 pounds. But if you are going to go CF, then don't get one of the cheap ones off of ebay. Go with someone like VIS or Seibon or someone who's name is known

Performance mods: Lets just say it's not stock.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

This IntelliTXT stuff sucks.

Go with Seibon. They make 4-5 hoods for the 05+ stangs and are the best quality hoods for under $1000. Check out www.CarbonLimited.com They sell them for around $750 for vented hoods.

I'm still debating on which hood I would like to buy.. I've seen the Cervini Eleanor hoods on Ebay before for under $300, but I'm not sure how it would look on a GT without the rest of their body kit. Anybody have any opinions?
